Come along with HUTS on our twenty-sixth Town Guide. Let’s explore Lee, Massachusetts together! Founded in the 1760s, this town was named after revolutionary patriot General Charles Lee and features quite a historic downtown area. The town also offers water activities like boating and swimming on nearby lakes and ponds.

This Peruvian restaurant specializes in seafood, so we can fill up on our favorites like fish ceviche, shrimp chowder, and seafood paella. The restaurant’s menu also includes crowd must-haves like strip steak and filet mignon.
Did someone say hiking? October Mountain State Forest stretches over more than 16,460 acres, making it the largest forest in the state, and is stocked full of amazing trails. For some great lake views, check out the October Mountain Loop trail, which estimated to take just under 4 hours and runs about 7 miles long.
If you’re looking for an indoor activity, there’s always shopping! Lee Premium Outlets is a great outlet mall, designed to look like a small New England town (so it fits right in!) and includes top retailers like Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, Michael Kors, and more. Whether you need a new outfit or you’re looking for a rainy day activity, the outlets can save the day.
The Black Swan Inn is a 3-star boutique hotel offering lakeside dining, an exercise room, and dog-friendly stays. Paddle along on Laurel Lake with a kayak rented from the hotel, or maybe their pontoon boats are more your speed. Either way, start your day with a cup of coffee lakeside and get out to explore this beautiful town!
