Welcome to another HUTS Town Guide! Today we’ll be talking all things Port Jervis, known as the gateway to the Upper Delaware River and sits on the borders of Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. Port Jervis is rich in history and was once the first stop on the first 100 mile long road in the United States! 

Where to eat: 

The Fox n Hare Brewery is a cornerstone of Port Jervis serving up refreshing craft beers and classic bites. This highly rated hangout will not disappoint, we recommend the Pimento Burger and Pickled Veggies to start, pair this all with a pint of the Early Morning Light beer.

What to do outside:  

The most quintessential thing to do outside near Port Jervis is take a drive down this particular stretch of Route 97 known as the Hawks Nest. This winding road follows the path of the Delaware River below offering breathtaking views and plenty of spots for photo opportunities. 

Local tip: It gets crowded around sunset and on nice weekend afternoons. Save this for a sunny weekday!

What to do inside:  

Take a walk on over to Foundry42 which was voted to be the most innovative retail experience in the US. This coffee shop and boutique serves up a mean cup of joe that you can enjoy while browsing through a well curated selection of local wares and stylish home goods they have for sale. We also recommend grabbing a slice of carrot cake or one of their rosemary croissants to snack on with your coffee or tea, you wont regret it!
